Shares of chemicals firm SRF Ltd today plunged nearly 14 per cent after the company reported a 4 per cent decline in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March.
The stock dropped 13.79 per cent to end at Rs 1,924.20 on BSE. During the day, it tumbled 17.85 per cent to Rs 1,833.35.
At NSE, shares of the company slumped 13.61 per cent to close at Rs 1,924.40.
SRF Ltd has reported a 4 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 124 crore for the quarter ended March.
Its net profit stood at Rs 129 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
Total income rose to Rs 1,625.30 crore in the fourth quarter from Rs 1,442.37 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
SRF Ltd is a chemical based multi-business entity engaged in the manufacturing of industrial and specialty intermediates. The company's diversified business portfolio covers technical textiles, fluorochemicals, specialty chemicals, packaging films and engineering plastics.
