The SLC CEO Ashley de Silva said the SLPL will be played between August 18 to September10 when SriLankas international calendar is free.
There will be six teams with local and foreign players.
Each team will play each other twice in the first round of 10 games, de Silva said.
The previous SLPL kicked off in 2012 and ran into immediate problems with cancellations in the next two years due to organisational issues and lack of sponsorship.
