Sri Lankan PM to visit India next week

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will arrive here on April 25 on a five-day visit during which he will hold talks with PM Narendra Modi to further expand ties in a range of areas and find a solution to the vexed fishermen issue.
It will be Wickremesinghe's working visit and both he and Modi will hold talks on April 26.
"The prime minister will have a luncheon meeting with Ranil Wickremesinghe on April 26," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Gopal Baglay said.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Road Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari will call on the visiting dignitary.
Baglay said after his official engagements here, the Sri Lankan prime minister will be making a private visit outside the capital.
Asked about Modi's visit to Sri Lanka, the spokesperson said both sides are working on it.
"We have received an invitation and both sides are working on it," he said.
