Right wing Sri Rama Sene activists today justified their act of barging into the St Thomas Aided Higher Primary School here, alleging that the school was teaching Arabic language without proper authorisation.
Sri Rama Sene Karnataka president Mahesh Kumar alleged Arabic language was "forcibly" taught in the institution and there was no government order for the same.
Some parents had complained that Arabic was being forcibly taught to the students, he told reporters here.
He said his outfit took the action after gathering "credible" information on the matter.
The Sene strongly condemn "illegal" teaching of a language as it would pave way to mislead the children. If such acts continued, a state-wide stir would be carried out, Kumar said.
He accused the school administration of registering false cases against the Sene activists and demanded that they be withdrawn.
On July 30, about 50 to 60 Sene activists barged into the school at Bondanthila here, alleging that Urdu and Arabic were being "forcibly" taught to students. Some 16 activists have been arrested in connection with the case.
