India's Srihari Nataraj was ousted in the semi-final of men's 50m backstroke event in the 21st Commonwealth Games, here today.
Starting in lane 2, Nataraj finished fifth in the second semi-final clocking 26.50seconds with Australian Benjamin Treffers winning it comfortably with a timing of 24.99 seconds.
Another local swimmer Zac Incerti with a timing of 25.19 seconds was second while England's Harry Shalamon was third with 25.52 seconds.
