Srinath wins chess competition in Nashik

Tamil Nadu's International Master Narayan Srinath today won the 2nd All India International Open Fide Chess Rating Competition by defeating Grandmaster Shail Gagare.
Srinath won a cash prize of Rs 71,000 and a memento, Milind Kulkarni of Resha Association, organiser of the competition, said.
GM Bhakti Kulkarni (Air India) remained on the second place as she defeated Vinay Kumar. Sameer Kadmale of Sangli in Maharashtra stood third as he restricted his rival Pravin Dodejashi of Amravati at equal points, the organisers said.
