Before its official release on May 26, the cricket fraternity and Bollywood biggies enjoyed the larger than life experience at the grand premiere here tonight.
There were two screenings today, one at 4.30 pm which saw the presence of the Men in Blue and the other one which was held post 7.30 pm for Bollywood celebrities.
A host of celebrities including SRK, Aamir, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya, music maestro A R Rahman, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Asha Bhosale, Arshad Warsi, Sonu Nigam, industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita, attended the premiere.
Aamir said he has always been a huge fan of Sachin.

"For any Sachin fan, it's an emotional film because we experience his entire journey again on the big screen. When I saw the film I loved it. All of us who are fans will love it, Specially his last speech which makes us cry. There are many qualities I admire about him. His passion for the game, love for cricket, dedication, hard work, the grace and dignity he has. He in an icon for all of us," Aamir said.
"During my school days whenever I used to come back from school, my first question used to be - Sachin isn't out right?," he said.
For Ranveer Singh, the master blaster is an inspiration.
"He is an inspiration to me and millions across the world. I am so happy to be here," Ranveer added.
Director Kabir Khan was too excited to watch Sachin's journey on the big screen.
"A biography of any sports person is always very interesting. I am looking forward to watch this," he said.
"The way Sachin has been successful, I am sure his movie will too be successful. The way he completed centuries, I hope the movie does too," she added.
Gowariker remembered watching Sachin's match in the stadium at the age of 18. "It's amazing to see his journey on the screen," he said.
Before the celebrities graced the red carpet Sachin's children son Arjun and daughter Sara posed for the shutterbugs. Sachin's in-laws were also seen at the premiere.
The venue of the premiere was completely engulfed in Sachin-mania as pictures of his 100 centuries were put up on an artificial green grass wall and one could also hear the chant of 'Sachin Sachin'.
Directed by James Erskine the biopic hits theatres on May 26.
