Additional Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal Jyotirmoy Chakravarty paid a maiden visit to the Siliguri Frontier Headquarters in north Bengal today, SSB officials said.
Chakravarty, who was received by senior officers of Siliguri Frontier, held a meeting with senior field officers and took stock of the situation in Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders, a release by SSB said.
He asked the officers to remain vigilant while performing their duty on the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders, it said.
He also directed enhancement of the intelligence network of the Siliguri Frontier and stressed upon maintenance of good relation with the border population for effective border management, the release added.
