Maharashtra government has drawn up an ambitious plan to develop the historic location of Sewagram where Mahatma Gandhi lived 75 years ago.
Maharashtra's Minister of State for Finance and Guardian Minister of Wardha Rajendra Mulak said here at an event that Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan would inaugurate commencement of work on the prestigious project next month, though dates have not been finalised.
The government would develop 28 major spots without making any change or destroying its originality, he said.
State authorities would lay a four-lane express road from Butibori (Nagpur) to Wardha as well as a heritage walk path to attract international tourists, he said.
The four-lane road would enable vehicular traffic to ease congestion, he said.
