"CBI will take its own course. The party and the state government have no connection with the CBI inquiry into Jagan's companies," he said, while speaking to reporters soon after his arrival from Hyderabad.
The CBI had yesterday approached banks for freezing the accounts of Jagati Publications and Indira TV, owned by the YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy. The move by the agency had come a day after a special CBI court in Hyderabad issued summons, directing Jaganmohan to appear before it on May 28 in a disproportionate assets case.
The Chief Minister arrived here to attend a Congress workers' meeting at the S Rayavaram mandal in Payakaraopeta assembly constituency, where by-elections are scheduled in coming June.
