Transport Ministers from states will discuss these and other related matters at the 38th meeting of the Transport Development Council.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, will inaugurate the meet.
Talking to PTI by phone today, Gadkari said, "This meeting will discuss issues like public transport reforms, seamless transport across state borders, identification of black spots (mishap-prone sites), digitalisation of payments, and inter-state transfer of private vehicles."
The meeting will provide an opportunity to the state transport ministers to get an exposure to the new and upcoming reforms in the transport sector, he said.
There will also be a discussion on the subject of public transport reforms and way forward to bus ports.
The council is the highest body to advise the Centre on all matters relating to roads and road transport and is chaired by the Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways.
