Statue of Liberty evacuated over suspicious package: reports

The Statue of Liberty, one of the most visited monuments in the United States, was evacuated today because of a suspicious package, local media reported.
Several photographs posted on Tweeter showed a long line of tourists waiting to board a return ferry to Manhattan.
The National Park Service did not immediately confirm the cause of the evacuation.
