Steel minister inaugurates POSCO's plant in Maharashtra

Steel Minister Narendra Singh Tomar today inaugurated South Korean steel giant POSCO's USD 709 million steel plant in Maharashtra today.
"Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, this plant is a bold step ahead in the fulfilment of Prime Minister Modi's Make in India campaign. We assure all support to other such companies looking to establish their production facilities in India," Tomar said inaugurating the Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) in Mangaon (Raigadh, Maharashtra).
Tomar also outlined the enormous potential of steel in India, considering the low per capita consumption level of steel in the country.
He urged POSCO to collaborate with domestic industry to explore partnerships in the area of high-end technology transfer.

SLCM partners Yoma Bank for collateral financing in Myanmar * Agri-logistics and warehousing firm SLCM today said it has tied up with Myanmar's Yoma Bank for collateral financing against commodities stored in the company managed godowns in the neighbouring country.
SLCM in a statement said that its Myanmar subsidiary has "tied up with one of the leading bank Yoma Bank in Myanmar for collateral financing".
