STF intensifies combing operation in Sathyamangalam forests

The Special Task Force of the Tamil Nadu police today intensified their combing operations in the Sathyamangalam Tiger reserve forest areas to prevent poaching and anti-social activities there.
According to STF personnel, they were conducting regular combing operation in the forest.
They said movement of some Maoists was seen in Western Ghat areas at Kerala forests. To prevent their entry into Sathyamangalam and other forest areas in Tamilnadu they have conducted a special searching operation.
More than 50 STF personnel along with local police and forest officials conducted the operation.
They also said no movement of Maoists was seen in the areas.
