Wasim Ahmad was arrested yesterday in Raniganj area of Pratapgarh by the STF, they said.
Ahmad was wanted in cases of vehicle theft registered against him in Matuna and Vile Parle police stations of Mumbai.
The Mumbai Police will take the accused to Maharashtra on transit remand.
