"The IPL is a massive attraction to everyone around the world. There are also other competitions around the world in which we, England cricketers, don't get an opportunity to play," said Stokes during an open media session here.
"IPL doesn't come in great time for us in terms of the summer of Test cricket, county cricket. It is something to look forward in the future," said the swashbuckling all-rounder.
"I would love to play in the IPL one day. It looks like a very glamorous competition. And when you play with other international stars it is going to be good for your game and I would also love to work on my game with the other spinners here," he said.
Pace bowler Plunkett also wanted to take a plunge in the cash-awash League.
"IPL is huge, I like the money in it," he said with a smile.
