stolen gold, silver articles recovered from abandoned car

: Six sovereigns of gold jewellery and one kg of silver articles were recovered from an abandoned car in Thudiyalur on the outskirts of the city, police said.
The car was found at Ammanaickenplayam in the rural limits by a patrol this morning and a search revealed the gold ornaments and silver articles, they said.
Investigation revealed that the car belonged to a person from Thoppampatty, who had reported that his car was stolen, police said.
The valuables were stolen from the house of a person in the same area, they said.
