Stolen statue worth Rs 15 Cr recovered

Two persons were arrested with a 50 kg 'ashtdhatu' statue worth Rs 15 crore from near Parsoiya crossing in the district, police said.
Superintendent of Police, Amethi, Hira Lal told reporters today that two criminals Vikram Verma and Kuldeep Gupta were arrested yesterday.
"A 50 kg astdhatu statue of Maa Durga was recovered from their possession. The estimated cost of the statue is Rs 15 crore in the market," the SP said.
The statue was stolen from Chandrika Dham temple of Pratapgarh district on March 21, the SP said.
