JD(U)'s Rajya Sabha MP Pavan Varma said his party has got the feedback that despite the hardships faced by people, they were supporting the move.
"Opposition could have, even on the question of implementation, played a more coordinated and a calibrated role. We support the intent behind demonetisation. We critic its implementation.
"The opposition needs to do far more work to present a coordinated and effective approach of making the government accountable and there is a great scope for improvement," Varma said.
The JDU leader his party was willing to wait to see whether the goals that the exercise was seeking to achieve will be achieved or not.

"We also have the feedback that the common man is willing to give, at this moment, the benefit of doubt to the government. But no government can assume that patience or stoicism of people in perpetuity," he said.
Criticising the current logjam in the Parliament, he said democracy in Parliament has been reduced to such "juvenile levels".
"He (the Prime Minister) cannot absent himself from the debate," Varma said.
