Stray dogs dig out infant's body from grave, nibble it

People were subject to a gruesome scene here after a pack of dogs was seen nibbling the body of an infant, which was dug out by them.
As the news spread, locals of Samodia village where the matter came to fore, rushed to the spot yesterday and after driving away the dogs, they buried the body again, officials said.
Earlier within a span of one month, three children between the age-group of 3-7 were mauled to death by the stray dogs in different parts of the district.
When contacted, District Magistrate Shubhra Saxena said the municipal board and the SDMs have been directed to launch a drive against stray dogs to taken them away from residential areas.
