Stray leopard attacks five

Five persons, including a forest officer, were attacked by a leopard in Luksan Bazar area of Jalpaiguri district this morning, forest department sources said.
The leopard had strayed from Shulkapara forest into the area and first attacked a person who was picking flowers.
The animal then attacked three other persons following a commotion.
As forest department officials reached the spot, the animal attacked one of them as well, the sources said.
The leopard was currently hiding and forest department personnel were now trying to find the animal for tranquilising.
All the injured were taken to the local primary health centre.
