To ensure smooth flow of traffic, a stretch on Asaf Ali Road, from Hamdard Nagar to Turkman Gate, has now been turned into one-way by the Delhi Traffic Police.
The stretch will be one-way for all type of vehicles round-the-clock from tomorrow, said a senior traffic official.
"All concerned agencies shall soon erect informatory sign-boards for the guidance and convenience of commuters," he said.
The step was necessary to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and prevent congestion on the Asaf Ali Road. It shall also ensure convenience and safety of the road users, he said.
