Last evening, the Kalwa police arrested the dairy owner who allegedly assaulted the worker after he asked the shopkeeper to clear his pending payments, sources said.
Sandesh Patil (35) was given the task of collecting pending bills as a part of an year-end collection drive, assistant police inspector S A Bagul of the Kalwa police station said.
Accordingly, Patil went to Old Bombay-Pune road and asked dairy owner Pradeep Ware of Baliram Apartments to clear his bills.
The Kalwa police arrested Ware and charged him under Sections 353 and 332 of the Indian Penal Code.
Further investigations are on, the police said.
