"With an effective road network it would be much easier to give a momentum to development of the state, including that of the rural areas," the Chief Minister was quoted as saying in an official release during a presentation on the Inner Ring Road project for Agra here.
"The road network on which flow of traffic is easy and which facilitates business, tourism and industrial growth and creates more employment opportunities would bring prosperity for the state," Yadav said.
Reiterating his government's resolve for development of all sections of the society, especially the poor and marginalised, he said whatever is required for this would be done.
While ensuring implementation of such schemes, it should be taken care that interests of farmers are not compromised.
In February 2010, Agra Development Authority and Jaypee group had entered into an understanding to construct a 30-km long ring road around Agra using PPP mode. This was later cancelled owing to some problems.
Now, bids would soon be invited afresh on PPP mode by the Authority.
