An engineering student from Jammu and Kashmir has won a global digital skill competition held in Singapore, organisers today said.
Prince Sumberia, a student of Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, beat finalists from six other countries -- Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Bhutan and Vietnam, to win the Asia Digital Skills Challenge yesterday.
The contest, one of the biggest digital skills competition in Asia, was organised by the ICDL Foundation, a non-profit organisation, and was open to students aged 18-25 years.
The students were tested on their core digital skills tests including online collaboration, IT security and advanced spreadsheets, the ICDL said in a statement.
