slapped his computer science teacher during class at a government school here after he was admonished for unruly behaviour.
The student allegedly slapped the 34-year-old teacher after she reprimanded him for turning off the main switch that supplies power to many computers during class yesterday.
"..She advised him to behave properly," a top school official said, requesting anonymity, adding the teacher was given a "hard slap."
"This boy has shown such despicable behaviour in the past as well. He was allowed to continue here after he tendered an apology," the official said, declining to elaborate.

However, no formal complaint has been lodged by the school with police, keeping in mind the boy's future.
"We were told by school authorities that they don't prefer a complaint with us," a jurisdictional police official confirmed.
The teacher was sent to a government hospital where she is being examined for "possibility of internal injuries as she was slapped close to her left ear," police said.
