Six students from Bangalore shared their views on bullying in schools with HRD Minister Smriti Irani here as part of an endeavour to reach voices from the ground directly to policy and decision makers.
The roundtable meet which was organised yesterday by Amnesty International India was part of the '#BullyNoMore' campaign by the Human Rights Education (HRE) programme, which aims to create awareness on how bullying is a human rights abuse which denies a child the right to dignity, respect and inclusion.
The roundtable gave the students an opportunity to narrate their personal experiences with bullying and the means adopted by their schools to tackle the problem, said a statement today.
Students also shared pictures of the various activities carried out in their respective schools to make them more human rights friendly.
