Banerjee said that she had spoken to the officials of the West Bengal Secondary Education Council and the education department to issue admit cards to 410 students who were not registered with the Council.
She said that since these students were not registered with the Council they were not issued admit cards.
Banerjee also said as they had not taken the viva voce test which carried 10 marks, these students would write the examination for 100 marks, unlike others for 90 marks.
The chief minister said that the decision had been taken purely on humanitarian grounds keeping in mind the students' career.
