"Corruption takes birth in a society when its citizens digress from the common truth that the society is a common property", the Governor said in his address at the 22nd convocation of Assam Institute of Management here.
He also asked students to be change agents, disapprove corrupt practices and help the nation to grow faster and appealed to the faculty members to help students in building a strong moral character.
As management graduates, the students need to manage everything effectively and contribute to the growth of the nation, the governor said.
The governor also stressed on the need to maintain a disciplined life with highest mission and vision to work as change agents and help the society to set an agenda for development.
"Determination and strong will power can achieve everything and students must fix their goal and work relentlessly," he added.
