Director Subhash Kapoor is bringing a sequel to his 2013 film "Jolly LLB", a satirical take on the functioning of Indian judicial system.
The original film, starring Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani and Amrita Rao, won two National Awards.
The movie revolved around a small-time lawyer, who gets pitted against a famous lawyer representing a rich client in a hit-and-run case.
"I love to tell stores in satirical way. I am still writing the script for 'Jolly LLB 2'. The format of the film is such that it can be turned into a franchise. We are waiting for the release of my next film 'Guddu Rangeela' and then in July, I will go back to 'Jolly LLB 2'. We might have a mid next year release," Kapoor told PTI in an interview.
The director said that if he manages to successfully bring out the second part, then it would be easier to make subsequent instalments.
"We are hoping for the best. We can touch on different issues and serious concerns but in a satirical way," he said.

While Warsi will reprise his role of Jolly in the second part, there are reports that Paresh Rawal may play the opposing lawyer in the film, replacing Irani.
"We are still working on the script. We haven't thought of casting anyone yet. Paresh Rawal replacing Boman Irani is news to me," Kapoor said.
On another movie "Munnabhai Chale Delhi" with which Kapoor was associated, he said, "I was really excited about this film. But then Sanjay Dutt, who played the role of Munna, went to jail, so things stopped. I feel producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is the right person to talk about this project. I have no idea about it," Kapoor said.
