Subsidy of over Rs 3.83 cr given on education loan in Haryana

The scheme has benefited as many as 4325 girls and women to attain higher education in the country and 234 others to study abroad, Women and Child Development minister Geeta Bhukkal said.

The state government had started the scheme in 2007, the minister said.

Under the scheme, subsidy of five per cent per annum on interest is being provided to beneficiaries to pursue higher education.
