No casualty was reported in the incident, officials said.
The derailment occurred at a cross over point shortly after the train left the platform no 17 of CST station at 8.14 AM. It was later brought backed to the platform. The train finally departed for Bengaluru at 3.32 PM with a new engine, the Central Railway said in a statement.
The incident hit the operation of suburban services, resulting into cancellation of 70 services on main line.
Central Railway PRO A K Singh said Udyan Express was brought back to platform no 17 and the passengers were given food packets, snacks, tea, water bottle and the train left at 3.32 PM.

"Owing to the incident, three express trains had to change terminus while seven trains were rescheduled," he said.
Singh said the CR made continuous announcements on platforms about the late running of suburban services, change in terminus and rescheduling of long-distance trains due to the derailment.
