There are 14 members selected from different fields as individual experts in NTAC and individual members will have a tenure of two years, Pattnaik said quoting the order issued by the central tourism ministry on June 25.
"I am very glad to be a member of the NTAC. I thank Union Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi," he said.
The renowned sand artist had won the National Tourism award for 2005-06 for his innovative project in sand art.
Pattnaik has participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture events across the world and has won many prizes, including world championship title for the country.
