Saradha Group Chairman Sudipta Sen's driver and aide Arvind Singh Chouhan today claimed that he had driven him to Nizam Palace on April, 5, 2013 for a meeting where Trinamool Congress general secretary Mukul Roy was present, before his boss fled.
"On April 5 (2013), I had taken Sudipta Sen to Nizam Palace for a meeting. I could see Mukul Roy and none else," Chouhan, who was enlarged on bail today, told waiting newspersons outside Presidency Correctional Home here.
Nizam Palace is a central government office complex in the heart of the metropolis.
"From there, we came back to our Midland Park office," Chouhan said, who had driven Sen and his close associate Debjani Mukherjee to Jammu and Kashmir from where they were all arrested.
He also alleged that Trinamool Congress MP Suvendu Adhikari had held a meeting with Sen at the Saradha Group's head office Midland Park building in Salt Lake.
"Two days later, Suvendu Adhikari came to Midland Park in the night and held a meeting there with him (Sen), who received him at the entrance," Chouhan, who was reportedly a close aide of the Saradha Group boss, said.
