Renowned Sufi singer Rashmi Agarwal and Kathak dancer Vidha Lal will perform at a concert organised by the National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) here tomorrow.
NFCH Secretary Ashok Sajjanhar said the concert is aimed to promote communal harmony and national integration.
The NFCH is organising the special music and dance concert titled 'Roohdari- Mystic Notes & Dancing Toes' here.
"Acclaimed Sufi singer Rashmi Agarwal and renowned Kathak dancer Vidha Lal will perform during the concert," a release issued today by Home Ministry said.
The Roohdari concert is about celebrating the mystic poetry of the Sufi and Bhakti poets of medieval and modern times, who propagate One Religion, One Faith and Love to spread the message of communal harmony and national integration, it said.
Rashmi Agarwal's soulful renditions of the immortal verses of Amir Khusro, Meerabai, Bulleh Shah, Kabir and others will be translated into mesmerising dances by Kathak exponent Vidha Lal.
NFCH, an autonomous organisation with the Home Ministry, seeks to promote communal harmony and national integration.
Among others, its activities include granting financial support for rehabilitation of child victims of communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence, the release said.
