Sugar eases on sluggish demand, adequate supply

Sugar prices eased at the wholesale sugar market today owing to slackened demand from bulk consumers against adequate supplies from producing belts.
Marketmen said subdued demand from bulk consumers despite ongoing festive season against adequate supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on sugar prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 slipped to Rs 3,080-3,280 and Rs 3,070-3,270 against last close of Rs 3,120-3,300 and Rs 3,110-3,290 per quintal respectively.
Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 followed suit and traded lower at Rs 2,960-3,130 and Rs 2,950-3,120 from previous levels of Rs 2,980-3,145 and Rs 2,960-3,125 per quintal respectively.
In the millgate section, Mawana and Kinnoni were down to Rs 3,065 and Rs 3,130 from previous close of Rs 3,090 and Rs 3,145 per quintal respectively.
Asmoli and Dorala too traded lower at Rs 3,105 and Rs 3,040 from last close of Rs 3,130 and Rs 3,080 per quintal respectively.
