Sugar ends mixed in sluggish trade

Both the varieties of sugar prices showed a mixed pattern of trading at the Vashi wholesale market here due to alternate bouts of buying and selling amid sluggish offtake from retail consumers.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,156/3,325.
Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,022/3,172.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,022/3,172 (Rs 3,032/3,155.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,156/3,325 (Rs 3,172/3,311).
