At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, sugar for delivery in August fell by Rs 13, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 3,065 per quintal with an open interest of 11,100 lots.
Similarly, the sweetener for delivery in September traded lower by Rs 4, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 3,096 per quintal in 10,380 lots.
Analysts said profit-booking by speculators mainly weighed on the sugar prices at futures trade here but scattered demand at the spot markets, limited the losses.
