Sugar gains on steady demand

Both the varieties of sugar gained at the Vashi wholesale market here today on steady demand from stockists and bulk consumers on the back of consistent seasonal offtake.
Small Sugar (S-30) strengthened by Rs 6/5 to Rs 2,956/3,040 from Monday's closing level of Rs 2,950/3,035.
Medium sugar (M-30) also went-up by at Rs 4 to Rs 3,026/3,162 as against Rs 3,022/3,162 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,956/3,040 (Rs 2,950/3,035).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,026/3,162 (Rs 3,022/3,162).
