Sugar mill prices fall on increased supply

Sugar mill prices fell by another Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following increased supplies from mills amid scattered buying by stockists and retailers.
On the other hand, sugar spot and mill delivery prices were unaltered on little doing.
Marketmen said sugar mill prices have been under pressure since the government allowed to import duty free five lakh metric tonnes sugar to meet the demand and control unexpected fluctuations.
In the millgate section, sugar Mawana, Dhanora, Budhana, Simbholi and Thanabhavan fell further by Rs 10 each to end at Rs 3,580, Rs 3,595, Rs 3,580, Rs 3,600 and Rs 3,575 per quintal respectively.
