Sugar millgate price eases

Sugar millgate prices softened further by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following non stop arrivals from mills amid selective buying by stockist and bulk consumers.
Marketmen said mounting of stocks on persistent supplies from mills, triggered by shrinking demand from stockist and bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers mainly kept the sweetener prices in red zone.
In millgate section, sugar Dorala, Dhanora, Budhana, Thanabhavan, Ramala, Anupshaher and Baghpat all shed by Rs 10 each to finish at Rs 3,630, Rs 3,620, Rs 3,630, Rs 3,620, Rs 3,610, Rs 3,600 and Rs 3,630 per quintal respectively.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 41.00-43.00 per kg.
Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,890-3,990, S-30 Rs 3,880-3,980.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,600-3,700, S-30 Rs 3,590-3,690.
