Sugar millgate price remains up on renew buying

An upward trend in sugar millgate prices continued unabated at the wholesale market in the national capital today following fall in supplies from millers amid renewed buying by bulk consumers.
Traders said increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers coupled with fall in supplies from mills, mainly attributed persistent rise in sweetener prices.
In the millgate section, sugar Anupshaher, Ramala, Nazibabad and Morana rose Rs 10 each to Rs 2,640, Rs 2,650, Rs 2,640 and Rs 2,660 per quintal, respectively.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 30.00-35.00 per kg.
Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,900-3,050 S-30 Rs 2,890-3,040.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,630-2,880 S-30 Rs 2,620-2,870.
