Sugar millgate prices remain up on renew buying

Select sugar millgate prices improved further by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following pick up in buying by stockists and bulk consumers on the back of ongoing new month demand.
Elsewhere, sugar spot prices remained steady on sporadic demand.
Marketmen said buying by stockists as well as bulk consumers amid restricted arrivals from mills, mainly hold sweetener prices in positive zone.
In millgate section, Simbholi, Chandpur and Khatuli moved up by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,120, Rs 3,030 and Rs 3,095 per quintal.
Also, Asmoli, Sakoti and Budhana inched up by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,120, Rs 3,050 and Rs 3,080 per quintal.
