Sugar price remains up on rise in demand

Sugar prices continued to rise for the third straight day at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sustained buying by retailers , stockists and bulk consumers.
Besides, thin supplies from mills too supported the upside.
Marketmen said sustained buying by retailers, stockists and bulk consumers driven by summer season, mainly kept prices in green zone.
During summer season demand for the sweetener goes up notably.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices rose by Rs 10 each to settle at Rs 3,730-3,830 and Rs 3,720-3,820 per quintal.
Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices were higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,450-3.530 and Rs 3,430-3,520 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Kinnoni, Asmoli, Dorala and Chandpur enquired higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,530, Rs 3,500, Rs 3,470 and Rs 3,450 per quintal, respectively.
