Sugar price softens on sluggish demand, ample supply

Sugar prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal in the national capital today following slackness in demand amid increased supply.
Marketmen said ample supply from mills amid reduced buying by mainly pulled down the sugar prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices eased by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,270-3,470 and Rs 3,260-3,460 pere quintal.
Similarley mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices moved down by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,180-3,400 and Rs 3,160-3,370 per quintal.
Among millgate including duty section, Sugar Bulandshar, Dorala, Simbholi and Baghpat dropped by Rs 10 each to Rs 3320, Rs 3350, Rs 3370 and Rs 3350 per quintal.
