Sugar prices decline on huge stocks

Sugar prices fell by Rs 45 per quitnal in the wholesale market in the national capital today. dragged down by heavy stocks positions following higher supplies.
However, some demand form bulk consumers and retailers, capped the losses.
Marketmen said heavy ready stocks positions following ample supplies mills led to the fall in sweetener prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices enquired lower at Rs 3,240-3,440 and Rs 3,230-3,430 from Rs 3,270-3,470 and Rs 3,260-3,460 per quintal.
Similarly mill delivery M-30 and S-30 traded lower at Rs 3,110-3,290 and Rs 3,090-3,275 as against previous closing of Rs 3,120-3,325 and Rs 3,100-3,305 per quintal.
In millgate section, prices of Simbholi lost Rs 45 at Rs 3,275 per quintal, while Sakoti by Rs 40 at Rs 3,130 per quintal.

Prices of Kinnoni dropped by Rs 35 at Rs 3,290 per quintal. In line with overall trends, Budhana, Khatuli, Dhampur, Ramala, Morna and Nazibabad also moved down by Rs 30 each at Rs 3,170, Rs 3,250, Rs 3,140, Rs 3,120, Rs 3,120 and Rs 3,110 per quintal.
