Sugar prices fall on higher supply

Sugar mills prices were down Rs 25 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today, mostly dragged down by ample stocks on supply pressure from millers amdist subdued demand from bulk consumers.
Sugar M-30 and S-30 prices slipped to Rs 2,630-2,810 and Rs 2,620-2,790 from Rs 2,630-2,835 and Rs 2,620-2,815 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Kinnoni, Mawana, Modi Nagar and Dhampur eased by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,810, Rs 2,675, Rs 2,665 and Rs 2,655 per quintal.
In line with overall trends,Dorala and Khatuli sugar fell by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,670 and Rs 2,800, while Budhana and Thanabhavan shed Rs 15 each at Rs 2,690 and Rs 2,675 per quintal.
