Sugar prices fall supply pressure

Sugar recorded a fall up to Rs 30 per quintal in its prices at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample supplies amid scattered demand.
Marketmen attributed fall in sweetener prices to ample stocks following increased supplies from millers against scattered demand from bulk consumers as well as retailers.
Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices slipped to Rs 2,980-3,120 and Rs 2,970-3,110 per quintal.
In millgate section, sugar Dhanora, Dhampur and Baghpat dropped by Rs 30 each at Rs 3,010, Rs 3,000 and Rs 3,010, while Mawana, Dorala, Ramala, Chandpur, Morna, Nazibabad and Sakoti shed Rs 20 each at Rs 3,020, Rs 3,025, Rs 3,000, Rs 2,980, Rs 3,000, Rs 2,990 and Rs 3,000 per quintal, respectively.
