Sugar prices improve on better offtake, pause in supply

Sugar prices improved by Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following better offtake amid tight supplies.
Marketmen said increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers ahead of festive demand amid restricted arrivals from mills mainly pushed up sweetener prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices rose by Rs 20 to settle at Rs 4,000-4,100 and Rs 3,990-4,090 per quintal.
Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices also enquired higher by Rs 20 each to Rs 3,640-3,820 and Rs 3,630-3,810 per quintal.
In millgate section, Sugar Kinnoni, Nanota and Anupshaher gained by Rs 20 each to Rs 3,810, Rs 3,660 and Rs 3,640 per quintal.
