Marketmen said that the rise in sweetener prices was mainly attributed to pick up in demand, driven by rising mercury.
Sugar Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices enquired higher by Rs 30 each to end at Rs 3,530-3,660 and Rs 3,520-3,650 per quintal.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices also traded higher by Rs 10 each to close at Rs 3,880-3,940 and Rs 3,870-3,930 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Kinnoni rose by Rs 30 to Rs 3,660, followed by Mawana and Asmoli by Rs 25 each to Rs 3,620 and Rs 3,635 per quintal.

Meanwhile, Budhana, Thanabhavan, Dhanora, Khatuli and Modinagar also went up by Rs 15 each to Rs 3,620, Rs 3,615, Rs 3,630, Rs 3,625 and Rs 3,610 per quintal, respectively.
